Oakley Boren is a social media and communications consultant. She is a social media veteran, having gotten her start over 15 years ago in community management when social media wasn’t even a term yet.
Oakley is currently the social media and communication specialist at Frieda’s Specialty Produce, in charge of all social media and website content, and building relationships with social influencers. Prior to Frieda’s, Oakley was a communications manager at the LA County Economic Development Corporation for 6 years where she introduced the organization to social media in addition to designing marketing materials, writing and publishing its newsletter, and producing its websites. Most recently, Oakley was a freelance community manager for ad agency Ignited, an advertising collaborative non-profit thinkLA, and many other clients.
Oakley holds a bachelor and masters degrees from University of Southern California Annenberg School for Communication, and is the director of communications for USC Alumni Club of LA Beach Cities.
